Accessible Seats/ Wheelchair Space
Accessible seats and spaces for wheelchair seats are available for individual games. Fans purchasing accessible seats may purchase one additional seat adjacent to their wheelchair space. Depending on availability, seats for additional guests will be located as close as possible to the wheelchair space. These tickets may be purchased in advance by calling the ticket office at (502) 852-5151 or (502) 852-5863.
Season ticket holders having temporary disabilities may call the ticket office in advance to obtain temporary seating in the handicapped accessible space if needed.
Guests who need to exchange a non-accessible seat for a wheelchair space or accessible seats should call the ticket office in advance to arrange for their special needs guests. These exchanges will be made on a first call, first-served basis and will depend on ticket availability. For more information call the ticket office at (502) 852-5152.
Accessible parking is available near all gates at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. For University of Louisville home football games all accessible parking is sold to qualified season ticket holders. Visitors who are need accessible parking should park in the lower level of the Student Activity Center Parking Garage (Floyd Street and Cardinal Boulevard) across from Cardinal Park. Handicapped shuttle buses will begin service two hours prior to kickoff and provide return service after halftime. At the shuttle bus drop off a limited number of shuttle golf carts are provided to move patrons to gates near their seats.
Alcoholic Beverage Policy
Kentucky state law prohibits possession of alcoholic beverages by those under 21 years of age, unauthorized distribution of school on any licensed premises, and public intoxication. Kentucky State Law KRS 222.202 states that a person is guilty of public intoxication when he/she appears to be in a public space manifestly under the influence of alcohol to the degree that he/she may endanger himself/herself or other persons or property, or unreasonably annoy persons in his/her vicinity. Public intoxication may result in the ejection from the facility and/or arrest.
Alcohol sales begin from the time the gates open until the end of the third quarter. No alcoholic beverages will be served during the fourth quarter. A limit of two alcoholic beverages may be purchased at a time. An individual must 21 years of age to buy alcoholic beverages and proof of age is required. Everyone, regardless of age, must present a valid I.D. for each alcohol purchase. Alcohol may not be brought into the stadium or taken out of the stadium. Fans attempting to smuggle alcohol into or out of the stadium will be subject to removal from the facility, loss of ticket privileges, and/or arrest.
Sections 104 and 204 of Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium are alcohol Free. Consumption and sale of alcoholic beverages in these sections is prohibited.
Automated Teller Machines (ATMs)
Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium has a total of four Automated Teller Machines (ATMs). They are located at sections 102, 112, 126 and at the upper concourse on the South end, Section U12.
Banners, Signs and Flags Banners and signs are authorized provided they are not commercial, offensive, or in poor taste. Banners and signs may not obstruct the view of any guests, stadium signage, or present any safety hazards. Flags of any shape or size are prohibited from being brought into the stadium. Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium requires prior permission to attach any banner or sign to any railing inside the stadium. Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium reserves the right to remove and/or confiscate any banner or sign for any reason.
Cameras and Video Equipment
Camera policy. Only handheld, non-professional grade still cameras are allowed inside the stadium. Cameras should be able to easily fit into a purse or palm of a person’s hand. Absolutely no video equipment of any sort is permitted. Any fan who attempts to enter the stadium with a professional grade camera or video equipment will be denied entry into the stadium.
Code of Conduct
All Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium guests are expected to maintain reasonable and appropriate behavior at all times. Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium has a “zero tolerance” policy for inappropriate fan behavior during all events. Any behavior defying code of conduct, as determined by facility management, can result in ejection from the facility, loss of ticket privileges and/or arrest. Guests who are ejected from the facility will not receive a refund for the ticket(s) or be compensated in any way.
Inappropriate behavior includes, but is not limited to:
· Standing in seats.
· Standing in the aisles.
· Entering a seating area without the correct ticket.
· Drunk and/or disorderly conduct.
· Fighting or challenging others to fight.
· Entering the field of play without authorization.
· Interference with the event or its participants in any way.
· Throwing, kicking, or discharging any object within the facility or onto the field.
· Throwing or discharging any object off the upper concourse level or off the top deck seating on the East side of the stadium.
· Using profanity and/or other offensive, racial, obscene, or abusive gesture toward or in reference to players, coaches, referees, fans, performers or other staff members.
· Wearing clothing displaying profane or offense material.
· Smoking inside the stadium premises (inside the black fences).
· Violation of any local, state or federal laws.
· Use of artificial noise makers.
Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium is committed to the ideals of good sportsmanship. We ask all persons to show respect for the opposing team, game officials, and each other. Any guests in violation of the Code of Conduct are subject to ejection from the facility, loss of ticket privileges and/or criminal charges. Season ticket holders and suite holders are responsible for the actions of their guests. Ticket privileges may be revoked for patterns of fan misbehavior tied to those seats regardless of who is sitting in them when the incidents occur.

Credit cards are accepted throughout Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. Credit cards may be used at the box office, merchandise stands, and most concessions. Accepted cards include Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover.
Customer Relations booths can be found at sections 108 and 120 and at the upper concourse on the South end, Section 12. Services offered at the Customer Relations include but are not limited to:
· Giving general information assistance
· Lost and found
· Guest feedback forms
· Stroller check-in
· Bathroom entry codes
· Free water on hot days.
Diaper Changing Stations
Diaper changing stations are located in most of the men’s and women’s restrooms.
Drinking Water Fountains Drinking water fountains can be found throughout the inner and upper concourse levels of the stadium. In the upper east concourse, water fountains are located at section U1 and U12.
ElevatorsElevators are located on the East and West sides of the stadium, inside the four towers. There are five elevators on the East side of the stadium accessible north and south of Gate 2. Certain elevators are dedicated to suite holders and Loge patrons as well as handicapped patrons seated in the upper bowl. Elevators on the West side of the stadium are accessible only to persons with tickets or credentials to enter the Brown & Williamson Club, private suites or press area. Elevator 5 at gate 8 will be limited to working members of the media and coaching staff five minutes before the start of the game, the end of the first half, and after the conclusion of the game. Seats in the 100 and 200 levels are inaccessible by elevator.
Should dangerous lightning or some other conditions require the evacuation of the stadium, remain calm and follow instructions of the Stadium Security and Ushering Personnel and the Public Address Announcements. Guests sitting in the 100 level (sections 101-136) should exit onto the field and leave the stadium via the ramps on either side of the football stadium. Guests sitting in the 200 level (sections 201-236) should exit onto the concourse and head toward the nearest gate. Guests sitting in the 300-500 level (sections 302-423) and private suites should exit through the north and south fire escape towers and should not attempt to use the elevators. Guest sitting in the sections 1-12, and loge seating sections should exit onto the concourse, take the ramp and head toward gates 2 or 3. Guests sitting in upper sections 212-227, sections 301-302, sections 11-12 and loge seating sections can also exit onto the south deck stairs. For the upper concourse, there are additional stairways in the North and South ends of the stadium. During an evacuation, all guests must completely depart the stadium.
Stadium guests are not permitted access to the playing field at any time during the event. Only guests with the appropriate credentials will be allowed on the field. Anyone entering the field without proper credentials is subject to removal from the stadium and/or arrest.
First Aid at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium is provided by Jewish Hospital HealthCare Services. First Aid stations are located outside of sections 102, 112, 126 and on the upper concourse section 12. A volunteer physician and ambulance personnel are available to assist in any medical emergencies.
Gate Opening Times
For all University of Louisville football games the gates will open one and a half hours prior to the scheduled time for kick off. For high school games the gates will open one and a half hours prior to the scheduled time for kick-off. For all other events, gate opening times will vary and will be determined event promotors.
For all University of Louisville home football games parking in handicapped spaces requires a valid permit with matching space number and location. Any car parked in a handicapped space without a valid permit will be towed at the owner’s expense. Additional handicapped parking is available at the Floyd Street parking garage. The Park-and-Ride shuttle service will provide wheelchair accessible transport for handicapped fans from the garage to the stadium. For all other non-football events handicapped parking is on a first come, first served basis.
Lost and Found Services
Lost and Found is located at each of the Customer Relations booths outside of sections 108, 120 and on the upper concourse at the South end of the stadium. If an item is found, please give it to an usher or turn it in to the nearest Customer Relations booth. If an item is lost, check with one of the Customer Relations booths in the stadium. After the game, all lost and found items will be held in the stadium office. To inquire about a lost item call the stadium at (502) 852-0083.
Customer Relations recommends that a parent/guardian place a ticket stub inside each child’s pocket or socks to assist staff in locating a lost child’s group. Separated children and parents should contact the nearest Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium employee or go to the nearest Customer Relations booth (see Customer Relations for locations throughout the stadium).
Marketing, Sponsorships and Pamphlets
No unapproved marketing will be allowed on Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium property. This includes, but is not limited to:
· Unauthorized distribution of business cards, flyers, handouts of any kind, pamphlets or other types of literature used to promote business
· Placing of any unapproved materials on car windshields
· Chanting or shouting words associated with commercial advertising
· Wearing clothing in a manner intended to advertise
· Possessing banners, flags, signs or posters displaying words or pictures associated with commercial advertising
· Product sampling of any kind
Guests found passing out literature or any written forms of unauthorized marketing will be asked to collect pieces of marketing handed out and dispose of them in the trash. If necessary, the guest or marketing company is subject to being billed liable to pay the billed by Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium for any additional clean-up costs. Guests/companies repeatedly found marketing on Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium property will be cited with trespassing. Official University of Louisville merchandise is available for purchase at various kiosks throughout the inner and upper concourses and the Cardinal Store located at Gate 2.
For home football games, all parking lots A-N and P - S are assigned to season ticket holders. General parking is available at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center and/or surface roads west of the stadium. Limited parking is available at the Student Activity Center and Floyd Street Parking garage.
For other events, parking availability varies depending on the event. Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium strives to provide general admission parking at a reasonable expense for all non football activities. Parking is free for the patrons of events at the Brown and Williamson Club.
Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium also hosts parking for the Kentucky Oaks and the Kentucky Derby. Parking for cars, RVs and buses is available. No overnight parking is allowed. For more information call (502) 852-0083 or visit the website.

Pets Pets are not permitted in Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. Only service animals (i.e. guide dogs) are allowed entrance into the stadium.
The press/media entrance is located on the West side of the stadium at Gate 8. Elevators 4 and 5 are designated for Press/Media usage. Media credentials are available for pickup at Gate 7, and are required for entry to the Press/Media area.
The Brown and Williamson Club and/or Press Lounge and the new PNC Loge at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium can be rented exclusively for your next event. Our facilities are capable of hosting a wide range of events including weddings, wedding receptions, corporate functions, graduation parties and various other occasions. The University of Louisville and Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium are dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment in which to enjoy events. Police officers are stationed near each entrance gate and all persons entering the stadium are subject to search and questioning. Full cooperation for authorities is appreciated and it will help speed the progression of the lines. Items not permitted into the stadium include, but are not limited to:
· Firearms or weapons of any kind (i.e. knives, pepper spray, stun guns, slingshots, concealed weapons, etc)
· Fireworks of any kind (including smoke bombs and flares)
· No glass or plastic bottles, cans, coolers, containers, food or beverages of any kind
· Air horns, whistles, seat cushions with backs, artificial noise makers (i.e. thunder sticks)
· Illegal drugs or chemicals
· Laser pointers
· Inflated footballs or any other ball of any shaper or size
· Animals (except service dogs)
· Unapproved pamphlets, handouts, advertising items, etc.
· Skateboards, roller blades, roller skates, roller shoes, etc.
· Any unapproved flags or banners of any shape or size
Anyone with an item that does not pass security measures will be asked to either return the item to their vehicle or dispose of it before entering Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. Purses and diaper bags may be brought into the stadium but will be searched at bag inspection area. Please be aware that prohibited items, policies and security parameters may be modified from event to event as security levels change. Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium has a strict no re-entry policy. Any guest who leaves the stadium during an event will need a new ticket to re-enter the facility. Only the guests leasing the cabooses on backside of the stadium near Gate 7 will be permitted to re-enter the game.
Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium provides various rental opportunities. Venues available for rent include but are not limited to:
· Brown and Williamson Club
· The Press Lounge
· Stadium parking lots
· Stadium playing field or bleachers
· PNC Loge
· Norton Terrace
The facility manager will determine whether or not an event is qualified to use of the stadium. Contact the stadium office for additional information or inquiries at (502) 852-0083.
All the restrooms in Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium are fully accessible and have wheelchair accessible facilities. Entrances to the restrooms are located on the outer side of the concourse. Additionally, there are companion restrooms available on the Eastern, Western and Southern sides of the concourse. To access the companion restrooms, please see a representative in the Customer Relations booth nearest you. Baby changing stations are available in most women’s and men’s restrooms. Additional port-a-lets are available at Gates 1,3 and 5.
Seat Numbering System
In Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, the sections are numbered from the Northeast corner of the stadium (101) and increase in a clockwise direction (ending with section 136). Viewed from the field, seats are numbered from left to right and rows are lettered from the bottom beginning with the letter “A”.
Club seating, located at the Southwest corner of the stadium, begins with section 301 and increases in a clockwise direction ending with section 317. Expansion seating is designated L (Loge), S (Suite), U(Upper), and T(Terrace). The numbering sequences are the same as mentioned above (see diagram)
The use of tobacco products (i.e. smoking, chewing tobacco, etc.) is strictly prohibited at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, as well as within 50 feet of a gate or entrance.
Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium allows guests to bring strollers into the stadium. After entering the stadium, guests are asked to check strollers at the Customer Relations booth located nearest to your seats.

Tailgating is permitted in the parking lots designated for game day parking. Tailgating is prohibited in the Floyd Street parking garage. Parking lots open seven (7) hours prior to kickoff and no earlier than 7:00am for early game times. No kegs or party balls are permitted in tailgating areas at any time. Bottles and open containers may not be carried around the parking lots. All drinks should be placed in plastic/disposable cups and consumed at the tailgating location. Fans are encouraged to barbeque and enjoy the game-day experience; however, it is the responsibility of our fans to dispose of used charcoal and associated trash properly.
Tailgating must be confined to each vehicle parking space and all vehicles are limited to one parking pass only. Additionally, tailgating should not interfere with the normal flow of traffic or the activity of other fans. Portable restrooms, trash recepticles, and dumpsters are located throughout the parking areas around Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.Patrons are encouraged to recycle all appropriate refuse.
Texting (In Game)
In Game (facility) texting is available to report incidents, unruly patrons, or parking problems. The text number is 51234.
Everyone over the age of 2 years must have a ticket to enter the game. Please retain your ticket after it is scanned by the usher. Student tickets are stamped STUDENT and require a validated student I.D. for admittance. Student tickets may not be resold or given to anyone without having a valid I.D. Please be sure to secure your tickets in a safe place between games. Unauthorized ticket distribution or selling tickets on stadium grounds is prohibited. The University of Louisville does not authorize the selling of individual or season tickets for higher than face value. The University of Louisville athletic department reserves the right to revoke ticket privileges, including season ticket renewals, of any customer who scalps tickets. Ticket offices are located only at Gate 2. Hours of operation on non-game days are from 8:00am to 5:00pm. On game days the box offices will open at 9:00am, and remain open through halftime of the game. Tickets can also be purchased at the Student Activity Center, Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00 pm. For ticket information contact the ticket office at (502) 852-5152.
Video Wall Messages

General Will Call tickets are available only at the Gate 2 ticket office. Will Call opens two hours prior to schedule kick-off time and valid identification is required to pickup tickets.
